TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – A baby was found dead near Grant and Oracle in Tucson on Sunday, Dec. 18.
The Tucson Police Department said officers were called to the 600 block of West Alturas Road around 1 p.m.
The TPD said authorities tried to treat the infant, but it was ultimately pronounced dead.
The TPD is looking for the baby’s mother to ensure that she is safe and healthy. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
Arizona is a Safe Haven state, which means anyone who has an infant they cannot care for can leave the infant with any on-duty EMT, fire station, or hospital.
