TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) – A woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Tucson late Thursday, Oct. 27.
The Tucson Police Department said Samantha Elizabeth Sandidge, 33, was booked on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
The TPD said Sandidge hit a man near the intersection of South Alvernon Way and East Juarez Street and then fled the scene. The victim was crossing Alvernon Way near an unmarked crosswalk when he was hit. The man’s name will not be released until his family is notified, according to the TPD.
The TPD said officers at the scene of the crash were able to contact Sandidge and her family. She was taken into custody near South Wilmot Road and East Broadway Boulevard.
